Very dry, with temperatures of 18° to 22°C
Fauna:
891 fish species, 90 of which are endemic. The Sea of Cortez contains 39% of the world’s total number of species of marine mammals and a third of the world’s marine cetacean species.
Flora:
Islands and coastal areas of the Sea of Cortez are home to 695 vascular plant species, more than in any marine and insular property on the World Heritage List.
Dangers:

Overfishing, industrial development, pollution, dam construction in the northern part.
